6 month check-up

Charlotte is growing like a weed by the minute registering now at 18.10 pounds and 27 inches long. Since her last appointment she's gained 2 pounds and grew 2 more inches. She's in the 95th percentile for height & weight and I believe head size, too. Aside from the effects of the shots & trying to cut a tooth she is still the happiest baby on earth.

In fact, this is Charlotte within seconds of waking up from a nap!

Catching up

I've been a bad blogger lately and haven't posted anything in the last several weeks. Not much has happened here, but Charlotte continues to grow and develop more and more every day. She's 6 months old today, which is so hard for me to believe. She sits up all by herself, sleeps through the night (has been since her first day at daycare in January), loves daycare - even gets really excited when she sees her teachers or the other babies in class, loves eating her vegetables and has noticed the cats. She can barely contain her excitement and squeals when they walk by. She babbles so much that I imagine at any moment she's going to talk in sentences. She grabs my face when I rock her to sleep that makes me want to cry and when we get her in the morning she's literally bouncing on her back with excitement. Just an all around happy, happy baby. Gene and I are very lucky!

She likes to play with her taggie blanket that her cousins Meghan and Allison got her for Christmas and sometimes she will have fallen asleep with the tags still in her hand.
