Charlotte has been blessed since the day she was born with a head full of beautiful hair. After we give her a bath the back of her hair is so curly I wish I could keep it that way. I don't know where she gets it, neither Gene nor I have curly hair. Now that it's getting longer I'm having a hard time keeping it out of her face without always pulling it up in a pony tail on top of her head. I would like to take her in to have someone cut bangs for her, but Gene's pretty insistent that I leave it alone. He loves her hair and I do too, but it's hard to hold a toddler down for too long to get anything on her let alone tie her hair back. Every now and then her hair will get into her face and she points to it with this look on her face as if she's saying to me, "Are you gonna do something about this?" It's friggin hilarious.

Thank goodness for warmer weather!
This has been one cold winter and it has been difficult for us to come up with things to do for a very curious little toddler. So, we were all so happy when the forecast predicted (and was actually accurate) a very warm day of almost 70 degrees. Gene picked Charlotte up early from daycare so they could enjoy the good weather before it was dinner and bedtime for a baby. I'm pretty fortunate to capture these precious moments with Charlotte and her Daddy. I just so wish I took better photos, but I will take what I can get.

Christmas 2010
With our busy schedules, my brothers & I celebrated Christmas the day after over at my Dad & Lori's house. Charlotte had so much fun opening gifts that she wanted to help anyone opening up a present. It was hilarious to watch because after tearing a piece of paper off she would throw it in the trash. No one can argue that she isn't mine. ; )
Christmas Eve 2010
Christmas seemed like it was our first one with Charlotte since she was so aware of what was happening, opening up the gifts and being excited about what was inside. She knew who Santa was and loved looking at the lights everywhere, except for our house. I failed to put up the tree with everything going on, but we still had a good time. We had my Mom and Kenny over for a Christmas Eve brunch, drank mimosas and watched Charlotte play with her new toys.
Thanksgiving 2010
I realize that it's been 3 months since my last update. I just can't seem to find time to catch up anymore. Ever since we brought Charlotte home from the hospital time seems to be on permanent fast forward and especially since I've been back in school much of my time goes to taking care of Charlotte or studying. Poor Gene. . . he's been so patient & supportive flying solo most of the time while I study because he wants me to be able to keep my grades up. I applaud those families with multiple children and a schedule that puts mine to shame. I don't know how they do it. We'll just be so thrilled (and relieved) once I'm finished with school.
Now that it's 3am & I can't sleep cleaning the house would wake everyone up so I figured I would update my long overdue blog.
Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving.
